Many meetings have special speakers talking on various topics of
interest in communications.
Snacks, tea and coffee are available before and after all meetings
as well as cold drinks from the club fridge.
The group also has a number of services available to full members
including use of an emergency power backed shack with HF, VHF,
Satellite
and Packet equipment,
a club trailer, homebrew components, a limited range of test
equipment
and some reference books
and magazines including A.R., QST and VHF Communications.
Occasionally the club also makes surplus equipment available for
purchase by members.
The group hosts the "Hamfest"
every November as well as car boot bring and buy's
and puts huge efforts into Field days, the Rembrance Day contest,
CQ WW and WPX contests.

a regular basis
and has well passed the requirements for DXCC on multiple HF bands.
Barbecues are also held by the group during some of these events
for all participants.
The group has at least one annual dinner organized for all members
and families.
The 2 metre Repeater VK6RNC on 146.625MHz is still in the
improvement phase,
but provides useful coverage and a 70cm repeater should be completed
this year ?
The club operates a 1200 baud Packet Bulletin Board, VK6ANC on
144.900
MHz for users
and 147.575 MHz for transferring to other BBS's.
