THE DOs and DON'Ts
OF PASSING EXAMS
[From VK4AKI - Redcliffe Newsletter - and QNEWS]

DO:
Take notes during classes even if you have the text book.
This activity uses all three senses - sight, touch and hearing.

DO:
Read your notes at least once again after you leave the lessons
and again just before the next group of lessons.
Each lesson depends on the knowledge gained in the previous lessons.

DO:
Read the chapters in your text book that were covered in the last lessons.

DO:
Destroy any copy of 500/1000 Questions and Answers,
or similar publications, that are in your possession.
They usually don't explain why their answer is right.
Your mind quite often recalls the wrong answers
when under exam pressure.

Editors Note:
Anything that might help you is worth investigation

DON'T:
Read past exam papers,
you probably won't get any of those questions anyhow.

DON'T:
Read your text book ahead
more than the lessons scheduled for the next night/day.

DON'T:
Change your answer to an exam question
unless you are absolutely sure your first answer is wrong.
If you do, triple check.

DON'T:
Exam Cram the night before, it only confuses your mind.
If you've studied constantly you will have no worries.

DON'T:
Try to memorise anything without asking "why does it work that way".
