VK6RMS Mt. Saddleback 7250+
Access to the site is by 4 wheel drive only. 

At 2000' it offers wide coverage. 

The photo was taken during a visit in 1996 to upgrade the antennas. 

The voice repeater's antenna is at the very top and is the lightning arrester.

This Repeater has been operational since the mid 1980's
This voice repeater has been linked to VK6RUF in Perth and VK6RAW in Katanning. 
The WIA News is carried by this repeater.
The large tower on the left is SECWA's and the one in the middle, UHF CB.
The people up the tower are Chris VK6JI and Dennis VK6LD 
installing the Digi (144.850) antenna.

Since the photo above was taken, 
the tower showing Chris and Dennis 
has been replaced with a taller tower, 
and our amateur radio installation
removed from the commercial hut and 
installed in our own cabinet.
 

The two antennas used are 
amateur commercial GST-1, 
dual band 2 metre - 70 centimetre. 

The voice repeater is right on top and 
the 70 centimetre part of this antenna 
is the packet link to Perth.

The lower GST-1 
at the 17 metre level 
is the 144.850 packet user frequency and 
the 70 centimetre packet link to Katanning.
