Minutes
The minutes of the previous General Meeting (03 May 1999) were read and accepted
[6UU/6HAO].

Taits:
At present, 6CSW has 10 working Taits, and 7 non-working. The latter are in need of Audio IC's, that are available in Perth for $6.10 each. After some discussion, it was agreed that the non-working units, be held in reserve for spare parts, and that the Audio IC's therefore not be purchased.

Concerning the EPROM boards, there appeared to have been a change of emphasis, in that 6TRC and 6CSW were talking about 6NT duplicating the diode-matrix boards, including banks of DIP-switches for selection.

6RAV:
Ongoing. 6TRC reported that he had heard 6CA on 6RAV, saying that the machine was performing ok recently.

6CSW has built a linking interface, which was passed to 6UU.

6RTH:
6TRC and 6ZSE had been to the site, and added water to the batteries, but 6TRC said that more water was required for them to be fully topped-up.

The replacement of the main antenna, with a dual-bander, was discussed.

Correspondence:
6TRC reported that he had sent letters to the following organisations, requesting access to their sites:

Allcom Victoria Park

Boral Orange Grove

Heratage FM Martin

RAC Lesmurdie

Channel Ten TV Lesmurdie

Water Corporation Various

The first two had responded positively (see below).

Net:
6CSW reported that the net was running well.

6RLM:
There was comment that the 6WIA callbacks on the 29 MHz gateway on the previous
day, taken by 6CSW, were very successful.

Block of Land:
6HAO reported that his enquiries had been hampered by a territorial dispute between real-estate agents (or some such), but that he was continuing his efforts.

General:
6LZ was actioned to obtain a quote on moving the "big box" from the QTH of 6KRB
to Roleystone, or some other agreed home for it.

6RVP:
6TRC reported on his progress on building and installing a new repeater at the
Victoria Park site in the lift-housing at the top of an 8-storey building.
It was suggested that the callsign should be 6ROB!

10m:
There was much discussion, led by 6UU, concerning 10m packet at Roleystone, 10m
repeaters, diversity reception, and split-site 10m repeaters.

6UU wanted it noted that his FT-757 transceiver, which is currently being used
for the 10m gateway, is available for purchase by WARG, as a "quick and easy"
method of providing continuity of service when the gateway is moved to another site.

Antennae:
A motion was passed [6LD/6HAO] that another dual-band antenna be purchased by
6TRC, for use at 6RVP.
