site as a packet station to test coverage, output was 25 watts. Will VK6UU had found that he could only get about 17 watts output before
modification, but by changing the "inductor" he got almost 30 watts. Tended
to get hot - would need fansRob VK6TRC has completed 9 diode matrix boards for single frequency selection.
3.2 - VK6RAV:

8.1.1 - Kalamunda
Paul said there was a tower at Kalamunda near the power sub-station which
appeared to be not in use - he would try and get more information.8.1.2 - Victoria Dam
Mal VK6MT and Will VK6UU reported that there was a disused site with 150 ft
guyed tower in good condition, brick building, within a fenced area with power
available (needs transformer and connection to 66Kv line).
However it is within 100 metres of some very high voltage power transmission
lines although at present the noise generated is not excessiveProbably owned by Water Board - see Correspondence above.
8.2 - Equipment Cabinet (Tardis)
To be removed from Ralph's QTH to Rolleystone site
Cliff VK6LZ offered to move it (again) but would need use of Hyab Truck to load
it onto ute.

VK6TRC has a packet station running to test coverage, under his call sign.WARG now need to apply for a voice repeater licence for 438.425 Mhz Tx, 433.425
Mhz RX, Call sign preferred is VK6RVP.In addition it was decided to include frequencies for possible future use as
follows:
Voice Repeater - 146.775 Mhz Tx - 146.175 Mhz Rx
Voice links - 420.200 Mhz, 440.150 Mhz, 440.400 Mhz.Action the Secretary to apply to WIA(VK6) for endorsement of application for
license. On receipt of WIA approval apply to ACA for license.8.4 - MTRC-1 Controller Board
Mal VK6MT described a new repeater control board that he is working on, this
generated much discussion on repeater linking controls.8.5 - VK6BBR BBS survey
Dennis described the results of a survey he carried out on VK6BBR regarding
possible enhancements;
Some users wanted another 1200 baud 2 metre port to relieve congestion -
possible engineering problems.
Some wanted a 9600 baud port on either VHF or UHF.There was then a discussion on the possibility of a 10 Metre 1200 baud FM Port,
this would need the design and fabrication of a 10 metre diplexer.8.6 - CB Repeater
VK6TRC reported that he had had a request for the possible siting of a CB
repeater on one of the groups sites. This was seen as im-practical on the
current sites, however a future new site may be suitable, the group was not
against the concept.8.7 The 40 Metre Gateway
Will VK6UU reported that the submission still appeared to not be getting
anywhere. It appeared that it was still not fully understood by the Federal WIA
Liaison Committee.8.8 Dialex
There was some discussion on the possibility of VK6BBR being linked to Dialex,
however it was decided that this was not necessary as the WAADCA BBS VK6BBS was
adequate for Perth needs. The meeting was declared closed at 2150 hrs.
