James and Catherine in Australia

Our trip to Hawaii went great. We got to see about everything we wanted to, and had some great fellowship with Bro. Fred Hernandez and family, Bro. Fred is the Pastor of the King James Baptist Church in Waipahu

Hawaii!!!!

We got to Hawaii on Sunday afternoon and were jet lagged because of the time difference. We were able to rent a car, trying to find the hotel and somewhere to park was like being lost in a maze. Cathy and I were wishing we never left the south!

That same night we were able to get in touch with Brother Fred's daughter and she gave us perfect directions on how to get to the church. King James Baptist Church is a growing place with a God fearing congregation. When we got to the parking lot, we were relieved when we saw all the scripture signs on the cars. We felt right at home with all Dr. Ruckman's signs on the walls of the church and the preaching of cross by Bro. Hernandez. We didnt want to leave, until Bro. Fred invited us to eat at the Sizzlen. We had a great time chowing down on the meal ticket of the Pastor. You don't hear about too many pastors taking you out to eat and paying for it.

The next few days we went and saw the sights, Sea life Park, the Zoo, Flea Market, Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri, the Bowfin submarine, IMAX theater, and drove around a lot of the Island.

We were able to do some street work one night. We set out to pass out a big stack of Gospel tracts. The Lord allowed us to sew the seed there on Wakiki beach, but not it wasnt easy, we miss the south.

We met a very interesting fellow there named John Stewart. He was street preaching when we ran across him. He ministered a great message of the Lord Jesus Christ to us. We hope that he and Brother Hernandez will get together soon.

Our last night there Brother Fred and Carla took us out to eat at what had to be one of the nicest places on the Island. We ate squid, lobster, octopus, oysters, and other Hawaiian foods. Cathy and I had a great time fellowshiping with the Hernandezs'. Thanks Bro. Fred and Sister Carla.

We left out the next morning for LA. It was a great trip. Praise the Lord!
