Bach & Byte 3rd across the line

The Bach & Byte came third on handicap in the multi-hull division of the

Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race.  The boat is in fine condition after this event, with

no broken masts like this time last year just prior to departing for Willis Island !

The VK9ML crew will leave Brisbane 2am local time Monday morning to drive up

to Gladstone where the will meet with Skipper David, VK4GL (previously VK4ZEK).

The boat will change from race configuration to DXpedition transport configuration !

Supplies and VK9ML equipment will be loaded in readiness for a Tuesday departure

from Gladstone.

A third transceiver is now being taken along.  If 50MHz is dead Peter, VK4APG,

the 6M operator will activate 10M providing there is no interference from the

main HF station.

The 6M beacon will be running on the nominated CW frequency of 50.105MHz.

6M phone frequency will be 50.145MHz.

Hopefully the qsl.net site will keep working properly, as many have commented

about not being able to access the VK9ML site.
