CORES Pre-Registration

If you wish to conduct business with the FCC, you must first register through the FCC's COmmission REgistration System (CORES). Upon registration, you will be assigned a FCC Registration Number (FRN). This number will be used to uniquely identify you in all transactions with the FCC. Print out this page if you’d like to record information in the blanks listed below.

1. Go to the FCC’s Universal Licensing System (ULS) web site: https://apps.fcc.gov/cores

2. Click “Register” underneath “Need a Username?”

3. Fill out the information requested on the form. Notes:

a. Username must be your email address.

b. Follow instructions for the password. Note the complexity rules and limitations.

c. Secondary email and phone number are to help with account recovery.

d. Save your Username __________________________

e. Save your Password __________________________

4. Validate your email account by clicking on the link FCC sends you. Then click on the “Go To CORES” button. (You might have to log in again.)

5. Click on “Register new FRN”

6. Select that you are an individual and that you have a US address, and then click Continue.

7. Click Continue to proceed with CORES FRN Registration.

8. Save your FRN __________________
