Note: Do not drag .exe`s from MyComputer/File Explorer to the desktop to make shortcuts. Right-click the .exe file and select `Create shortcut`. Then drag that shortcut to the desktop. Otherwise the programs will use the desktop as the application startup location. Datafiles that the program uses will not be found in the c:\desktop folder and the application will not work correctly! To make desktop shortcuts: -------------------------- 1. In MyComputer/File Explorer go to the c:\Print_Labels folder - or wherever you installed it and find Print_Labels.exe. Right-mouse on the .exe and select `Create shortcut`. Drag the shortcut to the desktop. Edit the shortcut text as desired. 2. Or - Right-mouse click an empty spot on the desktop. Select New, Shortcut. Browse to the c:\Print_Labels folder - or wherever you installed it - and find Print_Labels.exe. Click it and click OK. Edit the shortcut text as desired. Note: If you do not see the file extensions (.exe, .txt etc.) in XP Explorer - Select Tools, Folder Options, `View` tab and uncheck the `Hide extensions for known file types` box. Apply. OK. Hit to update the display. Win7/8/10 `View` menu options are similar.
