To insure that Cabrillo logs are submitted in the sponsor`s required format (correct header and exchange data in proper order), a Cabrillo template should be published with the contest rules. The template on the rules site should be a PDF file to maintain the columnar format, like below.
Valid modes used in the contest should be called out explicitly in the rules. Ex: "Work stations on 3 modes per band: PH, CW and Digital (all non-CW)". Multiplier example: "Multipliers are counties per mode: PH, CW and Digital". Most sponsors use `RY` for all non-CW digital modes. Ex: "All non-CW digital modes are `RY` in Cabrillo". Other example: "Multipliers are SPC per mode: PH and CW (includes digital). All CW and digital QSOs are `CW` in Cabrillo".
