W5HSC Repeater
In July 2012, several Ham operators got together and rebuilt the two meter W5HSC Repeater. This involved a new Kenwood TKR-750 repeater, new Decibel DB225 antenna, and replacement hardline. The location is a 90' tower on Round Mountain in Heber Springs; Our frequency is 145.430 MHz (- .6 offset, no tone). It is on 24 hours a day with battery backup. We also have a UHF frequency of 443.375 MHz (+5 offset, tone 91.4). There is currently no formal club or dues. We have a weekly two meter net on Thursday evenings except for the third Thursday when we meet at an area restaurant usually around 6:00 pm. The meeting place is announced on the net. The weekly net is on Thursday evening at 7:30 pm on frequency 145.430 for general information, chit-chat and emergencies. Emergency net can be called at any time. Oh by the way, if you like camping, boating, swimming, fishing, or water skiing, we have it all on the beautiful Greers Ferry Lake. If you are a trout fisherman we have that below the dam on the Little Red River. So come on and join us and bring your radios. We will update this home page from time to time. Thanks to QSL.net for the space for this page.
