My work QTH was Roger Williams University which is located on the waterfront in the town of Bristol, Rhode Island at the tip of the peninsula. The University was named for the founder of our state - Roger Williams. I worked at the University for over twenty five years in the Science and Mathematics Department as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean. Our department is known for its Marine Biology Program and attracts students from all over the United States and foreign countries.
Students are drawn to Roger Williams because of its small-town New England setting, class size (limited to 24) and its beautiful location on the waterfront. I was an integral part of the Marine Biology Summer Camp Program for high school students. The camps were held for the purpose of letting students experience Marine Biology first-hand and decide whether they would continue with Marine Biology at the college level.
