Here are some pictures that go with the experiences that I have had.

There is the hamstick, on the camera tripod sitting on the roof of the Sidekick.
Note the radials drooping to the ground! No good. Not only that but no contacts!

Oops! Still have the sloping radials! Still learning. This picture is in Round Rock, Tx. Across from the Hastings bookstore.

Here is my OHR 100A 30m rig, a ZM-2, the battery pack cannot be seen. Set up at Round Rock, Tx. I was successful on this attempt.
I used the same setup on my ond Sidekick, when I met the retired guy, whos dog wnated to climb inside and get friendly.

The OHR 100A 30m set up on a TV tray behind Hastings in Odessa, Tx., ZM-2, battery pack. Was successful, but geo-magnetic storm cut us short. I saw the two middle school kids here and we talked after I was done.

Really great idea! Key on the knee. Works well, if you know how to adjust it. Elsewhere on my page are links to adjust all keys.

The same set up as above, before the "dust storm" (lot was behind me).

Again, Odessa, Tx. Lot behind the bookstore. Even though the radials droop, I was successful. I'm working on them! You can see the edge of the dirt lot in the foreground.
