My 93 Thunderbird Under Construction
Fiberglass Hood and Pins
Since I will be spending a lot of time on the strip with the car, I didn't
want the hood flexing at speed, and coming up. I wanted the pins to be in a
area that did not require them to be up to high going through a thick area
of the hood, and also wanted them in a strong area. I also wanted to retain
the rubber hood stops, since these help to prevent it from flexing and bouncing
up and down at speed.
Since it seems impossable to get hood shocks for these
light weight hoods, I am using a rod from a Mustang.
