Setup procedure SONY TRV-30E miniDV handycam for Netmeeting 3.01 by Microsoft

I have the handycam listed before, and I was wondering if is possible to run with Netmeeting like a webcam.  I have installed a FireWire (IEEE1394) PCI card for digital video streaming into the computer, runing Adobe Premiere 6.0 editing software. All this is working well, but there was no camera available if I run Netmeeting.

After some searching on the www, I found a description how to use a JVC digital handycam for Netmeeting. I sad "lat's give a try...". Here is the procedure, and on my computer is working well!

1. Previously you need to have installed and run the TrackerCam software, downloadable from http://www.trackercam.com/.
2. When you run for the first time TrackerCam, this will detect the camera(s) connected to your computer. When I runned for the first time, didn't detect my handycam, so I setup manually

3. connect the camera via the FireWire port to the PC (I'm running with Windows ME).
4. connect the external battery charger and power on the charger.
5. turn on the camera in MEMORY (photo) mode. This is needed because in camera mode there is the auto power off function, and will turn off your camera after some minutes but not in MEMORY mode!
6. If there was setup all right, you must to have the TrackerCam window, and to see the live picture from the camera.

7. Do not turn off TrackerCam! After runing Netmeeting, this will activate your handycam like a webcam. In the "Video camera properties" you will find the camera.

8. Run Netmeeting and activate the video send function (Tools>Video>Send), you will see the live picture in the Netmeeting window.
