Superregenerative converter
73 Magazine July '76 has a circuit by W6JTT for a receive converter to convert 120Mhz AM Airband signal to AM 
Broadcast Band 1Mhz signal.

But the circuit page 160 contains an error. Looking through the rest of the issues
of 73 Magazine for 1976, no correction could be found.

After some tests with LTspice vhfmon.asc,

Test circuit at 40Mhz. L4 and C5 set the LO frequency (1Mhz from RF frequency) and L5 with C6 and C7 set he IF
frequency at about 1Mhz.
Looking at Q1 collector,

Can see squegging at about 65Khz
And an FFT

Can see squegging , a vague resonance at about 1Mhz and the LO and harmonics. 



Should work on WBFM too?
