SEANET 2006 Osaka will be held from September 14th to 17th 2006. For the first ever SEANET Convention in Japan, we have been developing a plan of the convention which will allow for as many people as possible to join.
The venue for this wonderful occasion will be at International House Osaka conveniently located near the city center. Accommodations will be at Hotel International House and other nearby hotels.
Osaka is the third largest city in Japan after Tokyo and Yokohama. As well, it is the financial center of western Japan. The city has continued to be one of the most prosperous from its long ago history as a major merchant town. Cultural diversity in Osaka is perhaps best reflected by the affluence of restaurants and food. On top of it, the kind and lighthearted character of the people helps to make Osaka much more attractive. We look forward to sharing with you a happy time at the some of the many historical and interesting sites in and around Osaka. The ancient Capital city of Kyoto being an hour away ensures there's truly something for everyone to visit. We are planning a bus trip to Kyoto for seeing some famous historical temples and shrines which are designated UNESCO World Heritage, i.e. Kinkakuji-Temple, Kiyomizudera-Temple etc.
Through our gathering, it is our hope that old friendships will be rekindled, new friendship will be made and the result of it all will be a truly wonderful, most memorable time for all. We look forward to seeing you.
