About the Santa Fe ARES Group

We communicate where others cannot

There are over thirty women and men, from the general Santa Fe area, in the Santa Fe ARES Group. Membership is open to any licensed amateur radio operator interested in volunteer public service. We welcome inquiries. Please use the SFARES Member Registration Form if you would like to join.

Our Mission

The SFARES mission is to augment and facilitate emergency communications and related services and activities for Santa Fe City Emergency Management and Santa Fe County Emergency Management. This requires SFARES to establish and maintain a deep infrastructure with the capacity to operate at the highest levels of communication while allowing for graceful degradation of services as the severity of any disaster or emergency might impose. The deep infrastructure includes: appropriate and intensive training; a cadre of experienced and qualified personnel; and a well-structured equipment maintenance program.

Meetings

Meetings are on the third Saturday of every month at 0900. Location will be noted in the calendar on the Home page.
Anyone is welcome to attend.
