E.G.A.R.C covers East Gippsland from Maffra in the west to Mallacoota in the East and in general the area south of the Great Dividing Range.

Note: The Mallacoota Repeater is currently undergoing maintenance and is out of service until refurbishment is completed.

"Subject: Repeater/IRLP status

 

Hi Everyone,

 

VK3RTU                Back on Air! Thank you Ralph (VK3WRE) 439.525. irlp STILL DOWN.

 

VK3REB                As audio from the IRLP is being significantly distorted The IRLP is switched off until either VK3RTU is repaired

                                Or the source of distortion is located in VK3REB.

IRLP/VK3EGC     The IRLP was commissioned in 2008 and has been “on air” for a significant  percentage of that time.

                                Over time, the SD card appears to be suffering from file degradation and will have to be renewed.

Both GM300’s (VHF & UHF) need reprogramming to allow for COS processing by the IRLP board.

The WIA Broadcast will also cease for the time being with an alternate time of Sunday evening at 2000 hours on 146.800 ( Mt Tassie) if you can reach it .

Mt Baw Baw is another alternative.

                               

VK3EGC Monday evening net will be held on VK3RTU (439.525) as originally scheduled ( 2000hours).
