This is a great tool for figuring your propagation using Ubiquiti products
Once you start to build your MESH network you will need
to know if you can make a point to point connection. Google Earth is a
great tool to get co-ordinates for each station's location. Once you
have the locations you will want to know if you have an unobstructed view of
your target. Ubiquiti has a great tool on their web site that uses
Google Earth to check your path and do an elevation profile. You can
select different products and have a good idea how your equipment will
perform before you deploy it.
In the example snapshot below you can see the path and calculations that are
done between KC3APN and the WC3H tower site. Note the elevation
profile on the top left. Fresnel lobe is also shown, along with signal
strength and expected link quality and speed.
In this example I used my street address for 'station 1', and GPS co-ordinates for the WC3H tower (41.036532, -76.085643) as 'station 2'. Both stations use AirGrid M2 20db.
