The Solar Terrestrial Activity Report is generally updated once a day. The report contains a graphical view of the last 2 months' solar flux values, sunspot count and planetary A index. In addition there is information on recent solar events as well as predictions for the next weeks. Some solar cycle 22 and 23 data isincluded. Charts of all cycles from solar cycle 1 are available. |

The New HAL RTTY-1 is an easy to use very accurate tuning indicator that may be used with
virtually any FSK radio modem. The RTTY-1 may be used when receiving radio teleprinter (RTTY)
signals as well as most common data signals including: AMTOR, SITOR, P-MODE*, and Packet Radio.
Similar to the display of expensive crossed-ellipse oscilloscope tuning indicators, the RTTY-1
provides a Mark and Space tuning display with easy to read X-Y tuning bars. Whether in the field
or the shack, the versatile lightweight RTTY-1 can be used almost anywhere. Hook-up a DC supply
(10-18 VDC, 160 ma, filtered), connect your modem and receiver, and you're ready to go. If you
want to quickly tune RTTY signals "on the nose", the RTTY-1 is it - YOU ASKED FOR IT.

AirMail, the WinLink Login User's "Dream" Program for Automated Message Transfer (For the KAM Plus Driver version, be sure and read "readme.txt.") WinLink Login Users, Check out the FREEWARE Software communications package, AirMail , a Windows 95 Pactor mail program, for sending and receiving messages via the ham radio digital mailbox (MBO) system. AirMail is written for the SCS PTC-II Multimode Pactor-2 controller, the Kantronics KAM Plus and the Timewave (AEA) PK-232. AirMail combines email-style message tools with a smart terminal window which communicates with Pactor MBO's using a fully automatic transfer protocol dialog for the WinLink NetLink System. AirMail is written and supported by Jim Corenman, KE6RK, a long-time ham and cruising sailor with his wife and partner Sue (KB6FRF), aboard their 50' sloop, the"Heart of Gold". It is by far the best tool to use for the Pactor user. WinLink 2.5 General Release with NetLink WinLink with NetLink, an automated communications software system, is ready for distribution as an effective Mailbox system for linking between H.F., VHF, and the Internet e-mail system. WinLink is also an effective automated message store and forward system for the end user. WinLink may run on Window 3.xx, Windows 95 or Windows NT. An appropriate Pentium PC configuration with a minimum of 400 Mbytes Hard Disk Space and 32 Mbytes RAM should be used. It is highly recommended that such a configuration employ a Pentium processor and adequate serial ports to support simultaneous use of the applications. From (http://winlink.org/k4cjx) 9:58 98/05/31 WinLink consists of the following Application Modules: Amtor Module (Amtor.exe) for the AEA PK-232, 900 and Hal PCI-3000. Pactor II module (pctscs.exe) for the SCS PTC II. Pactor I module (pctaea.exe) for the AEA PK-232, 900, etc. Clover module (clover.exe) for the HAL PCI-4000 and the P38. VHF/UHF packet module (packet2.exe) for TAPR compliant packet controllers. Message Manager module (msgmgr.exe) which organizes, lists, and stores messages coming into and out of the system. User Manager Module (usermgr.exe) which organizes, lists, categorizes and tabulates user information. Eventlog module (evtlog.exe) keeps a record of the activity on the system. This along with the User manager user statistics (bbsusage.txt) provides valuable information for both the user and the SYSOP. Editor module(editor.exe) in combination with the Message Manager Module, provide editing abilities to all message types. Scanner Module )(scanner.exe) Interacts with an H.F. Amateur Radio transceiver and the appropriate WinLink modules to provide the ability to scan frequencies on the H.F. bands, autocall in the various sub-bands, and serve as a manual control for operating the WinLink station. NetLink consists of an add-on module which links WinLInk to the Internet e-mail system and provides WX downloads.
