We are a group of Amatuer radio operators in or near Tipton County in North Central Indiana.
We have a net on Monday evening (pretty much every Monday evening) at 8:00 PM on 443.125 Mhz. Summer or Winter.
If you are going by and don't hear us at the above times, check your watch or the day of the week
because we are here. Well all things being considered if the world has ended maybe not.
We have our monthly meeting the second Saurday of the month(normally) at Jim Dandy Resturant in Tipton at 8:30AM. It is a breakfast meeting.
Lately we have begun to add activities and we may not have breakfast but may have a fox hunt.
We manned a booth at our counties annual thresher show, and got some good local exposure.
Yes, we are rural, we have farmers and tractors and threshers and combines and wheat fields and corn fields and soybeans and pigs and stuff.
Our primary interest currently is to find a way to interest the younger generation. We attend an annual STEM night at a local Middle School
If you are interested in radio or electronics you are welcome to attend our monthly meeting. If you are not interested you are still welcome but we will look at you funny.

Skip is a way of saying the radio signal is bouncing off of the ionosphere and the Aurora Forecast in the Space weather is showing you skip.
Talking to Europe and other places is helped by Skip. Greater detail is described in "Ionospheric propagation.
