The Program
Simplex is a Windows based program
to control
simplex repeater functions using a parallel port
on a computer.
The features of the program are :

Unlimited record time
The minimal requirements to run
the program are :

Pentium or higher computer
-
32 meg or higher ram
-
hard disk drive
-
one printer port
-
16 color monitor
-
Windows 95B or higher (ie. 32 bit)

Simplex uses the following pins

Simplex uses Anjan Rakshit's VBIO.DLL which is included in
VBIO23.zip...It should be unzipped and vbio.dll placed in
windows system directory..Simplex uses the input and output
of a windows compatible sound card for record and playback..
Hook the low level output for the radio to the mic input and
the speaker output to the mic input of the radio..Hook the
COR and PTT lines to the radio...When the COR line is triggered,
Simplex will start to record...When the COR drops, Simplex
waits aprox. 1 second then keys the PTT line and starts to
play the wave file..At the end of the wave file, Simplex
drops the PTT and waits on the COR line again..
