How do I check into the net ?

[Listen for the Net Control Station (NCS) to ask for check ins. Usually the NCS will call for mobile and low power stations first followed by a call up for fixed stations and finally a general call up to pick up any stations that were missed on the first round.]

Where can I find information on joining the NightHawks ?

[Here it is: To become a NightHawk in good standing all that is required is for you to check into the net. There is no organization, dues, or elections.]

Why don't the NightHawks start earlier in the evening ?

[Most of the stations in the North and Mid-Atlantic regions must contend with Broadcast Stations intefering with communciations. The interference usually stops at around 7:10 p.m. EST and then starts up again around 10:00 p.m. The vagaries of B.C. DX schedules may alter the NightHawks' operating schedule, but generally this is the window to tune in for the net.]
