The concrete was mixed off site in the quarry area about a kilometre
away and bought up in the cement truck, thanks to Pioneer Concrete.
The form work had been installed earlier using wood bracing and corrugated iron. As the concrete was poured in it was vibrated into place. |

The work was under pressure from a large approaching
rain front that did arrive just at the end of the concrete pour bringing considerable rain. The dark approaching clouds could be seen clearly from the elevated location looking west. |
