At long last the tower construction was under way. There were 2 towers to errect on the site. |
A 13 metre (40') self supporting triangular tower for the large
wind generator, and a 32 metre (100') self supporting triangular tower
for the antennas.
Both towers were anchored into their individual concrete bases some 1 metre into the rock. The start of the antenna tower is the one shown in the photo, directly behind the white car. The wind generator tower is to the right of this tower, but not easily seen as it dark green. |
