The meeting was chaired by the Vice President VK6HAO Peter.

2 - Minutes:
The minutes of the December 1999 General Meeting were accepted  (VK6CSW/VK6TRC).

3 - Matters Arising
3.1 The proposed purchase of two 20 amp power supplies to be run in parallel at Rolleystone had been completed by Mal at a cost of $480.00 (budgeted at 600.00), and had been installed by VK6JI and VK6LD.

3.2 The international beacon antenna at Rolleystone had been struck by lightening and requires replacement, in the meantime Will VK6UU will attempt to repair it if time allows.

4 - Correspondence
In  From Chris VK6JI re replacement battery for VK6BBR UPS, and note about the interstate link VK6RPA.

5 - Treasurer
Christine VK6ZLZ reported that the balance at bank was:

Motion that report be accepted and payments authorised VK6LZ/VK6HAO carried.

6 - Membership
Membership now stood at 119 (Highest point 160).

7 - General Business
7.1 Concern was expressed at the lack of activity on the repeaters.

7.2 VK6TRC Rob reported that Tower Communications had discovered that the group had been overcharged for an antenna last year so that there is a $25 credit against next purchase.

7.3 VK6HAO reported that he has looked at the monoband 2m antenna from Tic Hill and discovered that three elements are damaged but may be repairable, a very small hole had let in water.

7.4 Victoria Park, VK6TRC is still working on it and estimates that licence will not be required for another couple of months.   Some teething problems had been encountered with the new controller board, Mal VK6MT is assisting.

7.5 Mt William is performing well at present but occasionally suffers interference from an unknown source.

7.6 VK6CSW reported that VK6UU had recrystalized the Busselton news receiver for direct reception from Rolleystone and was to install it as soon as possible.

There followed a discussion on the general lack of activity on the repeaters and Amateur Radio in general.
