Peak-Peak to RMS or RMS to Peak-Peak
This script and information found at http://referencedesigner.com/rfcal/vrms-to-vpeak-conversion.php
Vrms is defined as square root of the mean of the squares of the values for the one time period of the sine wave.
Volts peak to peak is defined as the voltage measured between the maximum Positive and Negative Amplitudes on the sine wave.
Following is the formula for Vpp to Vrms or Vrms to Vpp conversion.
V
rms = 0.3535 * V
pp
or V
pp = V
rms * 2.828
Where V
pp is the peak to peak volatge and V
rms is the root mean square voltage.
To Calculate Vrms from Vpp enter the value in Vpp and hit Vrms button.
