The Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department Amateur Radio Club was formed and organized in the interest of public safety. Our purpose is to serve the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department by providing emergency communication assistance in the event of a natural or man-made disaster, in the event of public safety communications failure, or for any other unplanned emergencies requiring back-up or support communications. Also the club will further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, promote knowledge, fraternalism, and individual operating efficiency, and conduct programs and activities to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio.
