Welcome to my Pre-release page! This will become the home to the first Linux look and feel respective logging program ever written when it is finished!
Until then it is Just a news and Updates page for the program.
To get the Latest "Bleeding-edge" use: sudo git <url is not avalible yet> && ./install.sh
LoggiX is a radio logging software that gets it name from the combined words "logging" and "Logic" With a nice flare on the end to make it stick and that is what it stands for "Logging Logic" created because of how insanely absurd the setup and config of the contact logging software currently available is. It aims for simplicity and makes an attempt to be welcome to the feel of any Linux system so you do not have to hunt for buttons in windows that look like they are from Windows 98 trying to find something that if it was a native window you would have already found!
Fully at home on Gnome and still just as simple on other systems this is a great app if you do not want to send a week configuring it! In fact, you just have to install and open it and it is ready to go!
It is currently only a local logging system and not up to par with other competition grade software's but we are working on getting there!
LoTw and QRZ.com integration is in the que and the log file (currently saved in a .hlf file as UTF-8) will hopefully be replaced with something more mainstream soon!
All in all LoggiX is currently a great software if you just want something pretty and simple!
otherwise at this point you might want to look some place else. but check back here often as there will hopefully be updates coming out soon that will improve this software to a usable extent!
A few bus remain and some are getting introduced with new features that are being added... an email to are bug relay with what happened, a suspected cause and (when it is implemented) a copy of your debug log will do the trick and it really helps a lot.
Right now install.sh has only the option to install and to add to desktop, we are looking for an installer that can:
1. allow you to chose an install path
2. allow you to add it to the desktop if you want to
3. chose if you want to install the imbedded version from the installer or get the latest from GitHub
4. has the LoggiX logo and an installing status bar.
The GUI has a few features in it that have not been hooked to the code and have no backend even if they where, if you are interested in helping with that they include allowing to chose where your log file is, change setting, and accessing assorted popups and warning windows.
Currently I do not use LoTw so am in desperate need of someone who knows it to add this to the software. If you know how or think you can, I beg of you! Help me and the rest of the team get this working!
Carlos is currently working on a logo and splash screen mascot but help with art design, logos, Ideas and suggestions are really welcome since we only have a few thoughts and sketch ups at the moment.
