I dry fitted the sheer clamps and snapped a chalkline on the worktable. One of the shear clamps will be used as a strait edge for joining panels.
In the evening I mixed epoxy and joined the pieces together. I didn't get the color right I initially put too much wood flour in, I couldn't add enough cabosil without making the mixture too thick. Oh well, its not like the joint will show. Step 1 done, and step 2 will be about 0.1 hour.
If there is one piece of advice I have read over and over is "one can have never have enough clamps." Here's a picture to demonstrate:
