SISKIYOU COUNTY
AMATEUR RADIO ASSOCIATION

BUDGET AND FINANCE GROUP
     The Budget and Finance Group is responsible for the general management of SCARA incomes and expenditures. It shall provide documentation and reports of the association's finances and submit for approval an annual operating budget Contained in this group shall be provisions for fund raising.

COMMUNITY SERVICES GROUP
     The Community Services Group shall act as laison between SCARA and civic clubs, civil organizations, special events coordinators, and any other organization. It shall work closely with the afore mentioned in the planning, organization, and implementation of amateur radio services defined by the needs of these organizations. The group shall keep records of participation during each event.

EDUCATIONAL GROUP
     The
Educational Group is responsible for organizing, scheduling and implementing on-going amateur radio classes both for license upgrades and for other topics of interest to SCARA members. It shall work to develop curricula and ensure the competency of its instructors.

SCARA HISTORICAL GROUP
     The SCARA Historical Group is responsible for maintaining for posterity a scrapbook and journal of SCARA activities.

MEMBERSHIP GROUP
     The Membership Group is responsible for maintaining an accurate membership roster; accepting and processing applications for membership; creating and distributing membership packets; and acquiring new member profile information.

NOMINATIONS GROUP
     The Nominations Group is responsible for soliciting nominations, reviewing candidate qualifications as set forth by the Constitution and Bylaws, and submitting a slate of qualified candidates to the membership.

PUBLICATIONS GROUP
     The Publications - Public Information Group is responsible for publishing THE BEACON, SCARA's quarterly newsletter. The group is also responsible for news releases concerning SCARA activities and the dissemination of such to the media.

REPEATER OPERATIONS GROUP
     The Repeater Operations Group is responsible for coordinating and implementing repeater protocol. Among its duties are: to develop and implement a coordinated procedure for all SCARA nets (including special events and emergency nets); to maintain a pool of trained net control operators; to be responsible for handling documentation of all coordinated repeater use (i.e. net logs).

SCARA SPECIAL EVENTS GROUP
     The SCARA Special Events Group is responsible for scheduling, planning, and implementing special annual events of particular interest to the members of SCARA. The nature of these events will be self-serving to the club; i.e. Field Day, annual Bar-B-Que, Hamfests, and other coordinated social events, other than those at the General Meetings.

TECHNICAL GROUP
     The Technical Group is responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and care of the SCARA repeater system, including its UHF link. It shall maintain a dated log of its activities and submit such reports as necessary to the Board for inclusion in the annual report.
