Declare War On Terror

People's Voice

We cannot replace the lives that have been lost and we will never forget the terrifying events, but we must stand together, shoulder to shoulder as citizens of India, and rebuild what has been destroyed. We must show that we cannot be disabled or destroyed, but that such heinous act will only make us stronger. It is important that we do not allow divisive forces to weaken us. We need to overcome these forces as one strong unified nation. - Ratan Tata

As a Muslim, I am shocked at what has been done in the name of my faith. As an Indian, I am determined to keep these terrorists from tearing our nation apart. As a human being, I join with the entire world in condemning this horrific violence. It's time to speak out, let's do it together. -Soha Ali Khan

Iam proud of being an Indian Tamil Muslim. Like any Indian, Iam angry, frustrated and shocked. Iam depressed at the damage being done to my country. To win the war on terror, not just the battle, eliminate the root causes of terrorism - which is - hatred spread by both the majority and minority communities. If you do not address hatemongers in both the sides and bring culprits from both the communities to justice and punish them, you can win few battles against terrorism only, not the whole war against terrorism. -Sadaqathullah

We citizens of India, and countries around the world, from all faiths, backgrounds and walks of life, declare with one voice that the terrorist attacks in Mumbai have not divided us, will not divide us, and that we stand together, as one people, against all violent extremists who shamefully target the innocent. We call upon all our political and religious leaders to come together at this moment, and take effective action to prevent the spread of violence.

The attacks were aimed at our people, our prosperity and our peace. But their top target was something else: our unity. If these attacks cause us to turn on each other in hatred and conflict, the terrorists will have won. They know that hatred and chaos feed on division. They also know they are radical extremists, and their only hope of reaching society as a whole is by turning the rest of us against each other.

We condemn the attacks on innocents. Islam clearly prohibits these mindless violence acts. There are many Muslims victims too. Muslim leaders from US to Saudi have repeatedly condemned terrorism, and issued Fatwas (rulings) against it. Not many newspapers publish them, nor many TV channels give due consideration to them. And thats why you are not aware of it. The problem with "conclusions before investigations" is that it doesnt solve the problem. The real criminals/perpetrators are still roaming free, and planning next attacks. Another problem is that you are victimizing innocents, and those innocents may turn against the society. These, and more such incidents, tell you that you can't assume one community was responsible for a crime/problem, and then start to investigate who in that community committed that crime. Jai Hind! -Seyed Ibrahim

India is great. All the Indians are our Brothers and Sisters. We love India's Unity and Integration. Harmony is part of our Culture. We are dedicated to Communal Harmony and committed to the Constitution. Terrorism is a direct attack on Democracy and Human Dignity. Let our patriotism prevail, unitedly We shall Fight Against Terrorism. -Mariam

Any man perpetrating or involved terror attacks in Mumbai, which claimed nearly 200 lives, would never be thought of as a right thinking Muslim. Islam is the great religion that preaches and celebrates universal brotherhood, equality of men and peace and justice for all has been hijacked by a demented, miniscule minority. -Hashim Amla

Tribute To Brave-Hearts Who Were Killed During Mumbai Terror Attacks 2008

I strongly condemned the action of the Terrorist to kill innocent people, ATS Chief, ATS Officers, Police personnel and NSG Commandos and to damage the property of the Nation. I convey my tributes to the brave people and Army Jawans of India. -Mohammed Nafees Abbasi

Indian Muslims are proud of being both Indian and Muslim, and the Mumbai terrorism was a war against both India and Islam. Terrorism has no place in Islamic doctrine. The Quranic term for the killing of innocents is 'fasad'. Terrorists are fasadis, not jihadis. - MJ Akbar

We should come out in loud voice and express our condemnation to all senseless killings. Any one whose hands are tainted with innocent blood can never belong to us. Peoples should be encouraged to shun radicalism and educated to respect opposite views. -Hussain

The killing of innocent people is not an ordinary matter, and it is the duty of everyone concerned about peace to condemn these attacks. Let us hold our hands to preserve peace and away with disruptive forces. -KAR Syed

India shall firmly counter all evil designs against its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. India shall remain resolute and shall be victorious in its fight against the barbaric menace of terrorism. -Fathima

We disown and denounce all those who kill in the name of jihad. Terrorists are fascists and enemies of Muslims as Islam doesn't preach killing of innocents. -Javed Akhtar

India is not a land against which Islamists need to wage war. It is a land of peace, where Muslims can practise Islam without any impediment. -Mohammed Ali

If we want to achieve lasting peace, we need to deal with the root causes of the violence and terror. For this we need an enlightened vision. - Buhary

People who committed this heinous crime cannot be called Muslim. Islam does not permit this sort of barbaric crime. -Hanif Nalkhande

The terrorists clearly wanted to spread panic. We shall never bow down to terror nor allow it to succeed. -Aysha

Muslim Can Never Be A Terrorist. A Terrorist Can Never Be A Muslim. -Abdullah

Terrorists Can Never Destroy Our Nation

India is our beloved nation. India is our mother country. We love India.
All the Indians are the blood of our blood and the flesh of our flesh.

Our ancestors lived here with peace, unity and religious harmony.
They loved one another. They fought against violence.
They made national integrity. We too want to live in India as they lived.

We ever honour the great leaders Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ambedkar, Abul Kalam Azad etc.
Their words and deeds are our strength. That's enough to build our nation unique.

No terrorist can destroy our nation. No terrorism can destroy our unity.
And We are always proud of being Indians. JAI HIND!
