The Hills Amateur Radio Group Morse Beacon VK6AHR operation.
Some while ago we fitted a good quality battery backed-up timer unit which
ensures that the 80 metre beacon starts and stops at precise times which are
unaffected by the all-too-frequent power disruptions in the Hills.
However, we haven't been able to run to a self-starting power generator yet,
so if the mains fails during the specified operating period, the beacon is off air during that outage.
