Now the site of the VK6BBS Packet Bulletin Board

The building in which the museum is established was built in 1912,
and was one of Australia's earliest links with radio.

The collection of equipment displays a range from early radio technology,
to the modern sophisticated equipment, showing developments that have occurred.

The museum is an integral part of WIRELESS HILL PARK
a total area of 40 hectares that has been developed as a nature reserve.

The features include an abundance of native flora, and viewing towers
(the original radio antenna's guy points) that enable visitors to enjoy the panoramic views,
barbecue and picnic facilities, childrens playground etc.

The month of September is probably the best time of the year,
on a lovely sunny spring day many families take their food and enjoy a barbecue lunch and a pleasant walk
along the pathways of the park which surrounds the museum, looking at all the wildflowers in bloom.

All the shades of pink in the Geraldton Wax and
the brilliant scarlet and emerald of
our State Floral Emblem the Kangaroo Paw,
the orange Banksia and yellow Wattle make a colourful display.

Is it any wonder the VHF, and DIGITAL Groups meet in such pleasant surroundings
