| Over my many
years in Ham Radio, I've sent and received thousands of confirmations of
my contacts with other Hams in the form of these so-called "QSL"
cards. The use of the term "QSL" (a holdover from the
very earliest days of Amateur Radio when Morse code was the only form of
communication) is a shorthand way for one operator to request a written confirmation of the
contact from the other.
Shown below are samples of some of the thousands of QSL cards I've sent to other Hams all over the world. No doubt, many of them (filled in with the appropriate information) are still hanging on the shack walls of Hams in some of the 300+ countries around the world I've had contacts with since I first became a Ham Radio operator back in 1976.
