SATSAGEN NF Meas Setup Notes

Setting up SATSAGEN for Noise Figure measurement has quite a few steps, each of which must be completed correctly for the NF/Gain measurement to be completed.

The latest version of SATSAGEN supports multiple configurations. I chose to one of the three choices for a low-cost NF measurement system.

Step-By-Step Set Up Process

1. Create an ENR table for your noise source using ENR Editor to enter from data scratch, or modifying an existing ENR file using a text editor to add your noise source's ENR data.
   1. ENR Edit function in in the setup on the ____ tab.
   2. Files are located in the SATSAGEN directory under ____ folder.
2. Edit the SA markers to add selected noise figure measurement frequencies/info. Be sure to click the check mark when completed to register your changes.

   2. Measurement bandwidth (~400 KHz)
   3. Measurement type (NF)
